Meet the winner

The Port of Flåm is located in the innermost part of the Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway. Surrounded by steep mountainsides and roaring waterfalls, Flåm offers wild, untouched and dramatic nature at its best. Flåm also offers some of the most famous and unique nature based attractions in Norway, like a zero emission cruise on the UNSCO listed Nærøyfjord, the Flåm Railway and the Stegastein Viewpoint.

With sustainability constantly in mind, the port is aiming to reduce the environmental impact at the same time as they increase the local value creation. This to strengthen the foundation for future generations and build a construction that contributes to a sustainable development of their small but growing society. Their goal is that all cruise related operations should be zero emission and to cut the CO2 emissions by 85% by 2026.
